We know that technology plays an important role in our lives and our child’s future and education. At this playdate, families will explore more hands-on activities that we can do with our children, so that our children can enjoy playing without having electronic devices. This will be held at our First Teacher office, 221 Blue Hill Avenue, Roxbury MA 02119.
The First Teacher Community needs YOUR support! Join us for a night of fun as we are host an adult Open Mic Night Fundraiser on Thursday on 5/7/20. There will be many gifted and creative artists displaying various kinds of talent. Tickets are $25. Doors open at 6:30 pm, performances start at 7:00 pm. More information to follow!
“Food is essential for life; therefore, make it good!” During this workshop, we will discuss the importance of “good food” and how it relates to our children, and their ability to learn. Do not be intimidated by this topic, everyone is an expert on “good food”. This year, we will add in the stinky reality of poop and the importance it plays in our children’s overall health and happiness. Join us to learn and share everything related to healthy eating including recipes, foods that our children can learn to love and what a good poop looks like!. Dinner and childcare will be provided with RSVP. First Teacher Office, 6-8pm.
Join us as we explore the outdoors together as a community. We know playing outside is important for our children’s growth and development. At this event, we will have many outdoor activities: exploring grass, searching for creatures (dead or alive), painting rocks, and bubble play. We are working to have this event at an Urban Farm in Roxbury, MA. More information to follow, Stay tuned!

Getting enough sleep is a very important part of our health, energy and readiness to deal with our children. Have you noticed that when you don’t get enough sleep it affects your children? At this workshop, you will get an opportunity to share with other parents your tips and tricks for maintaining a bedtime/sleep routine for you and your children. Dinner and childcare will be provided with RSVP. This workshop will be held at the First Teacher Office on Blue Hill Ave 6-8pm.

The Self-Care playdate will be a space where families will engage in activities that will create a sense of joy and laughter. Life is better when you laugh with others! Come join us at the First Teacher Office 11a-1pm.
